Weapons & Upgrades
Spoiler-light notes on handling, leveling, and smart early purchases.
Leveling basics
- Weapons gain XP as you use them; stronger variants unlock as levels rise.
- Early on, focus on one primary you enjoy and a dependable sidearm.
- Upgrades often trade recoil, damage, and capacity—pick what makes you land more hits.
Tip: Weapon XP is earned only when the weapon is equipped and NOT at max xp level. Make sure to level up before starting a new match to be able to earn more XPs. Also remember to swap to your chosen primary before missions to maximize gains.
Beginner-friendly primaries
Assault Rifles
Balanced recoil and range. Great for Gunslinger/Fixer starters.
SMGs
Close-range control with easy recoil. Medic/Exterminator/Slasher friendly.
Shotguns
High burst at close range. Pair with classes that hold chokepoints.
DMRs/Battle Rifles
Tap-fire precision; excellent for popping specials.

Order is guidance, not a rule. If recoil feels fine, jump to capacity.
Recoil practice drill
- Stand ~10m from a wall. Fire short bursts and watch impact pattern.
- Adjust sensitivity until you can keep a tight cluster while tracking.
- Practice head-height sweeps for common horde lanes.
